Synchro Sleeping
Before I got a compact camera, I was (and still am) using my cellphone to shoot interesting things. This is one of them 2megapixel photos.
Earlier this year, Dred, Elma and I went to Quiapo to check the prices of the compact cameras in Hidalgo, then had a sidetrip and walked around nearby Chinatown afterwards.
While wandering around looking for a place to eat, we passed by these two kids sleeping on a makeshift mat. I drew my cellphone from my pocket, literally pointed it to the kids without looking at the screen and pushed the button while walking.
I know, I know... Street photography isn't always about the street children, sad faces, poor people etc. but notice the devious smile of the girl on the right. She saw us walking toward them and pretended to be sleeping. After a few steps she stood up and looked around. Just another day in the office? :)
